Othman Mohamed Othman , Minister of Economic Development,announced at a press conference held yesterday, that the Egyptian citizen can live with 167 pounds per month, and said that 12% of those who were poor in 2005, climbed above the poverty line, contending that the citizen who reaches his or her monthly 2008 to 167 pounds is not poor. Osman statements came to confirm the continuation of the Ministry of Nazif to ignore the problems of the people and manipulated the figures to avoid failing in its responsibilities.
