The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics said the annual inflation rate rising to 19.7% during the month of May compared with last 16.4% last April. Recording the highest rate of inflation in three years, and attributed to the sharp rises in fuel prices, which ranged from 35 to 57% in the first week of May, in addition to higher prices for transportation and food.
