21 Prisoners and Four Soldiers Wounded in Riots at Assiut Prison

Clashes have broken out yesterday between policemen and prisoners inside Assiut prison, leaving 21 prisoners and four policemen wounded. Security forces cordoned off the prison with 50 central security cars. Official sources inside the prison said that the incident was sparked by the death of a convict and many of his inmates' subsequent protests.
